Nothing about this cyclone has been normal. It's been lingering off the coast for over a week unable to decide where its heading. It's been a 2, a 3, temporarily a 4 back to a 3 & now a 2 again with a chance it will strengthen again before it crosses. As a slow moving system they're looking @ a metre of rain in some places & people are less worried about the cyclone than the amount of rain, flooding, tidal surge etc that it will bring in its wake. My boys are ashore & mum says she's safe @ present but lots already without power. & it's still lingering offshore.I just checked the forecast for Alfred, it seems to be going very slowly. It that normal progression for your tropical systems?
I hope the damage is not to bad.
