MJ's little flock

I've got some photos to share.

Janet taking her morning snooze :love This time I didn't wake her.

Last night Mary was incredibly glossy! That's down to the new pellets I guess.

And again Blossom kept Ivy company as she came out of her trance.

Thank you all for your response. I was getting worried so thank you for acknowledging that this is not normal. The calcium I have for the water has Vitamin D in it as well. I have investigated and the shell grit I use is equivalent to oyster shell. My task for today is to try and find a vet who knows something about birds/chickens. I will update you all once I have made some progress. This is one of those times when it is such a privilege to have access to people who know a lot about chickens. I have an action plan.

It's a good one too!

Gorgeous Photos MJ!! This is one time when I am very fortunate to live in Melbourne. There is a group of Bird Specialist vets 20 minutes from my house. They specialise in all birds from rare parrots to chickens. I just collected today's egg and it was a perfect hard shell egg. I will make an appointment with the vet to check them out and to have Schnitzel checked out as well just in case.

Yes!! That's great news!!

Today's breakfast is unusual. I broke with habit because i was out of milk (I've been working too much lately). I was halfway through making panfried eggs on vegemite toast when the neighbours donated a jug of milk for my cuppa :love☕

Janet's gorgeous eggs
