MJ you and Bob provide some of the best chicken narratives. I love them.

Agree - 100%. It is what has drawn me into these threads. Previously I was just looking for answers to various newbie chicken and coop questions to help me build the Chicken Palace. Now I can't wait to catch up on the stories! You have all turned me into a real chicken person. Though to be fair I have always been a real animal person so it wasn't a difficult conversion.

Oh that's nice! We usually have an afternoon sea breeze but not today. It's very still out there.

M & J have joined Sandy in the deeper shade now. They're laying down again, but Sandy's standing.

The pullets are quite perky and preening non-stop.

"Why I damp?"

"No, me damp."

"I dry meselp, me damp still."

"No, ME damp still. But fresh."

"No, me fresh. Very fresh."

"But no dry off."

"Strange."

"Very strange. Where dis waters from?"

"Magics."

"Must be magics."

"Nice magics."

I love their conversations!

This morning's conversation among the hens was

M it's too hot it's too hot it's too hot need a drink right now

J yes, too hot. Didn't sleep a wink. Where can I nap? Here? Yes.

S these pullets are driving me mad!

They were absolutely exhausted first thing in the morning. The low temp overnight was 28c (82.4f)
