Bracket is officially off duty now. The youngsters are pretty sensible. Mag does keep an eye on them, particularly when they are eating. Bracket is very tolerant of them atm which is more than I can say for Knock and her three. They're quite independent now, aren't they. Unless Mum is lurking behind the log?
She's getting there.Sure. Her front end caught up with her back end since I last described her. The skin on her face sas salmon pink yesterday instead of baby pink. So perhaps an egg will turn up soon.
This photo was taken from above, so it's not ideal but it shows most of her.

She said, "Thanks Ribh!" and ran away. She is a beautiful girl!
I love my flighties but am grateful for my big placid girls who calm everything right down. I am learning to appreciate them more. Very little fazes them. She said, "Thanks Ribh!" and ran away.
She's very sweet, still a baby in many ways. Last in the pecking order but forming a friendship with Aunty Mary. Pegsy and Janet have formed a dynamic duo. So there's a pair of big slow-moving hens and a pair of little ones who dash about.
According to what the fodder store people said, she's 23 weeks now. But their info on the pullets was sketchy at best, so she could be younger. She's getting there.![]()
Mary's trust in me continues to grow. I can get quite close without her getting up, especially if I don't make eye contact and I'm clearly doind something to help her, like providing cooler water. I hope she lets me pat her one day.I love my flighties but am grateful for my big placid girls who calm everything right down. I am learning to appreciate them more. Very little fazes them.![]()

We're down to the low 20's, high teens but the wind has been blowing 30k+ from the west ~ where our really cold winds come from. No humidity. Today the wind has dropped & it's quite pleasant. How cold is it? Any himidity?
She is a very fine lady!Sure. Her front end caught up with her back end since I last described her. The skin on her face sas salmon pink yesterday instead of baby pink. So perhaps an egg will turn up soon.
