I'd like to see a picture of that set up. Sounds clever.
I will take a picture when it’s done. I let them out at 5.30 this morning, they all survived their sleep-out.

A double layer works well. I'm sure I've mentioned this before. In hot countries; hotter than here, some people build caly domes. Big ones with 4 large holes in the sides at 90 degrees to each other. This allows the chickens to come and go and also helps to catch any breeze. Above the dome, they suspend/support a rush matting making sure there is a good gap between the matting and the top of the dome. The matting takes the direct heat of the sun and the air moving underneath the mat and over the dome helps to keep the dome cool.
One of!How many every day tea cups have you got?
I've only got one.

I know, the teacup situation is a little out of control and almost has a life of its own! Folks have been giving me teacups for many years, and the three everyday cups were a gift but are mis-matched with their saucers. I like mis-matched as much as matched ones and I like to honour gifts so that's why they're in high rotation.
but I definitely saw myself in a new light that day, a light that said "...are you for real?? Teacups??"I'm very curious about this year's summer shelter project Lozzy. I think it has potential.Yes, I did know that. I will see if I can think of a way to suspend another layer over the top.
I didn't realise they belonged somewhereGood morning all.
Where do Caturday pictures belong? I've gotten myself confused.

I just plonked them down where I was. Oh dear I need to pay more attention to these things.
A double layer works well. I'm sure I've mentioned this before. In hot countries; hotter than here, some people build clay domes. Big ones with 4 large holes in the sides at 90 degrees to each other. What a pair of gorgeous fur chickens!Good morning all.

I was wondering what's a caly dome too!I noticed you edited your post. I’m not too proud to admit I googled ‘caly domes’ until I realised you meant ‘clay’!![]()
