MJ's little flock

We have a month's paid holiday each year packaged in. It can accumulate to eight weeks but after that it's use it or lose it. And there's a lot of nagging about taking your holiday. I've said I'll check my email Jan 10 in case there are any urgent tasks but otherwise I'll be doing holiday things. The other thing is, when we resign or retire, the accumulated holiday gets converted to money and we're paid out. I once knew someone who had so much holiday accrued, it was almost two years' salary when he left and it paid off his mortgage. That was in the days before the use it or lose it rule.
I worked for a company that had a scheme a bit like that. At the time there were wage restraints in the UK. To get around this some companies gave extra holidays.
I ended up with nine weeks holiday by the time I left the company.

Tack. Very hard to get a decent picture of her face with that hairdo.

I like it. There's a lot of comfort in time off work when it's coupled with a genuine expectation that you will indeed be taking time off work.
