I tend to do dried for 2 reasons:

I can get a really, really big bag of the things which lasts for ages
I hate handling the live worms if I'm honest.

You can grow & harvest your own if you are into that sort of thing. @Kris5902 can help you out with that.

I asked a similar question recently & the general consensus was yes ~ just remember they're a treat & don't go overboard with the treats.​

Live is way more popular with the ladies!

It was a long time ago. No wonder it slipped your mind.

I came up with the idea of "enclosure now, roost box later" which is how the project got underway.

My next chicken related build will be a proper side gate.

Something like this one but between the house and side fence.

It is kind of a rotating clothes line - like an umbrella. Never really made it big in the US though I think you can get them.

Help me out folks.

My retired uncle recently gave a whole day of his life to help me out. Please suggest a thank you gift. His hobbies are riding his fancy bike every day in a sporty way and making bread in his breadmaker.

He loves lollies and chocolates but I just gave him some for Christmas.

Genuine San Francisco sour dough bread mix would be nice. Maybe with some Ghirardelli chocolates?

I have a little question.
Peoples thoughts on mealworms as a treat (dried vs live)?
And should I wait until Snow and Belle are a bit older than 10 weeks before I introduce things like this?

I get them addicted to meal worms quickly. That way I always have some way to manipulate them to my needs. They are out free ranging and I need them back in the run, meal worms.

Not a lot at a time, just a treat. They are fine as a treat. Tons of protein but a lot of fat as well. Don't over use them.
