Varnish doesn't necessarily prevent marking.

I make sure it's dry first by sitting it on a teatowel

That is an amazing picture of Peggy. I think that is both calendar and wall worthy. Great composition. You can see all of her feathers. The definition is amazing. Great photo of a very unique looking young lady.

Those feet of hers are unbearably cute and funny when she comes running. I can't explain it properly but it's like she's levitating.
