You'd recall Peggy plucked Ivy's feathers at first but stopped when she had enough space, things to do, food etc. They are really stunning birds. What is that like a 12 hour drive? Not totally absurd with an overnight stop. Maybe when I retire - could be a fun way of seeing parts of the country I haven't seen.
I worry about the feathered feet though. Mine seem to always have muddy feet as it is so I imagine they would get messy and I also worry their flock mates would peck them out.
Otherwise they are really are the perfect chicken for me - black and not too many eggs.
Iām not surprised. Iād love to play in your chicken playground if I were the right size. The hens really seem to like using all the little tree stump chicken caves I've put together. Maybe they feel safe in their hen caves?
A meniscus tear will not heal on its own. It may not get worse but from what the orthopedist told my wife, it does not improve.I have to see a specialist to get an opinion yet.
Iāve been walking around without my stick today but I think it is making me over confident. I donāt want to forget I have an injury and make it worse!
Mine are almost always under cover of some kind. They definitely prefer it to the open. The hens really seem to like using all the little tree stump chicken caves I've put together. Maybe they feel safe in their hen caves?
