Ive noticed them over several days but haven’t been able to identify who. They do eat a lot of grass when they free-range.

And they're moulting too, aren't they? Mary always has loose poop when she's moulting. I assume it's because she changes her diet.

A signal booster is magnificent when you have 20 pages of BYC to get through and the girls want to know all the gossip.

I keep thinking if I had one, I'd pollute my chicken time with work. So I keep putting off.

I hope so. Tegan’s poop was particularly gross, but she seems normal otherwise. Still running around with her shoelaces undone!

There is very little is as satisfying as seeing a nice healthy poop.

Strange but true!
I check chicken and dog and cat poop every day.
Gotta love a healthy

I had crowing going on in the coop one day last week, on Thursday I think. I did not catch who was doing it. I wish they would stop. I don't know how I would explain that to the neighbors. Some of them still think hens without roosters do not lay eggs.

I tried to explain the “birds and bees” of chickens to a friend this past weekend. Wow! I felt like I was teaching a biology class to a five year old.I think the five year old would have understood it.
She couldn’t grasp that there are fertile eggs and infertile eggs. And, she thought roosters lay eggs too. She didn’t even realize that chickens “do it”.
