What do you object to about English bacon?Scared? You want to steer clear of English bacon (IMO) but a good banger sausage with fried eggs![]()
If you are used to American bacon which is super crispy then it can come as a bit of a shock because it is more like a thin pork chop. Nothing inherently wrong with it but disconcerting if you are thinking 'bacon' and have the US version in mind. What do you object to about English bacon?
OK. I think it may depend where you eat your bacon. I had it both ways in England ~ when I was still carniverous. Partly it may be to do with the cut. The lean & streaky crisps up better, I think, but as I no longer eat meat it may just be my perception. If you are used to American bacon which is super crispy then it can come as a bit of a shock because it is more like a thin pork chop. Food mountain! You could've done a day's work down pit with that breakfast in your bellyI very much did enjoy it. It just felt right. I can't explain it.
It was also part of my English breakfast.

I don't like my bacon crispy. I prefer wiggly bacon. If you are used to American bacon which is super crispy then it can come as a bit of a shock because it is more like a thin pork chop. Nothing inherently wrong with it but disconcerting if you are thinking 'bacon' and have the US version in mind.
