What do you object to about English bacon?
If you are used to American bacon which is super crispy then it can come as a bit of a shock because it is more like a thin pork chop. Nothing inherently wrong with it but disconcerting if you are thinking 'bacon' and have the US version in mind.

OK. I think it may depend where you eat your bacon. I had it both ways in England ~ when I was still carniverous. Partly it may be to do with the cut. The lean & streaky crisps up better, I think, but as I no longer eat meat it may just be my perception.

This is so true. 🤣 Both my cats love my archaeology tuts & the rest of the class is presented with big hairy butts as the cats smooch on me.

I don't like my bacon crispy. I prefer wiggly bacon.
