It's a cultural thing I think. The northern spheres think snow & ice. We think heat, heat & more heat. My girls would line up along the verandah & face into the sea breeze all year round. It rarely got cold enough for them. I've had half a dozen all winter trying to roost outside in weather I don't want to be out in!Thanks mate! I think so too. So far the hens have survived some brutally hot weather and the coop plays its part in that success.



Out here we're really only dealing with the one extreme. You get to do 2 & that changes how you need to prepare your coops.
