What a morning. Cool, clear and fresh. It's going to be a warm day, 32C, but for now it's wonderful.

I'm having my first cuppa of the day in the funrun. Here's Ivy listening to one of the neighbourhood hens announcing her egg.

OK. I'll continue sharing updates.

The shallow lunch box trick was something I learned from Mark the vet. He keeps one handy for weighing hens. They feel it's just right and won't struggle. Something about nests and confining the legs maybe? I wouldn't expect it to work for roosters.

This is very handy trick. I will likely employ this as well.

Well, here is Lorna's breakfast data. It's not looking good. We're back where we were on Christmas day.

She took 4ml before resisting so much the needle came out.

Janet and Ivy have switched spots. Janet is doing remarkably well, given her age and ongoing struggle against bacteria.
