Hope I'm not butting in too much, but just wanted to share that G-man and Bela have got girl friends now!
They are my two golden Cuckoo marans, and neither really fitted in very well in the main flock.
So when one escaped into their pen, and seemed very happy there, I thought why not?!

Well, the hens aren't that much bigger then him, as they are rather small for Marans. I don't think he care at all, to be honest!
I don't think he would have any difficultly mounting them, although I haven't seen it yet. He is soo polite to them, titbiting and dancing for them.

They don't, not at this point anyway. It wasn't that long ago that I couldn't tell them apart, and I don't name that many of my chickens. They could do with it now though, if anyone could help?
The one nearer the camera is a real sticky beak, and always trying to get treats from me, while the other one is very shy and tends to do her own thing.

The babies are going to be gorgeous! If ever there are a few eggs available for a broody, I'd love to try a hatch. Maybe in 2025? If they're all still going.

I don't have any plans to hatch chicks just yet, but if one of them goes broody I'm not going to say no!
I don't really like making long term plans, as I don't know what the future will hold for them or me, but if they all going well then I'd be happy to post some. You or I would just have to clean them very well.
But for now I'm just enjoying them for who they are.

I don't know how you manage to get the right consonants first time. I'm always switching one consonant for another.

I try to pick words that exclude a lot of options. One thing I like about the NYT is the coaching the bot gives after each game. The bot says ‘You had 3 choices and you picked the right one’ and I am going ooops - I hadn’t even thought of the other two!
