So, it looks like we have at least 8 people interested. I'm officially marking this a go.

RSVP IN THIS THREAD if you haven't already

I'll PM people my address this week so they can google directions.

Things to note:

I have cats. They'll be banished to the basement for the event, but if you're allergic, please bring your meds.

My birds are in cages in my living room. If you're allergic to feathers, birds, or sawdust, please bring your meds.

Children are welcome, however, the house isn't remotely toddler-proof.

No smoking in the house, as I'm allergic. Outside is fine.

It is potluck. Please plan to bring a dish that feeds at least 10, and if people could PM me with what they're planning to bring, that'd help me coordinate.

I'm a vegetarian, but I don't mind if you bring or eat meat. Just please plan to take leftovers home with you if they're meat.

RSVP!!! Katie (WiseChicks) and Michael, age 11 (unless he is in Maryland that weekend)

We'll bring : sundried tomato/roasted garlic bites and deviled eggs and cookies. (I know you said only 1 thing, but I love to cook!)

I can't wait!!! It will be nice to meet other chicken people, since my family and friends think I have finally lost my tenuous grip on sanity. LOL!

Cheers!

Hey, since we are meeting up, should we see if anyone wants to do some chicken trading/selling/buying? I have a few birds that I could offer up, and I am looking for a few birds as well......

Just a thought.

We could do that, if people want. I'll have button quail that could go to new homes, and a particularly obnoxious Coturnix quail that I'd volunteer to be rehomed in someone's freezer if they want to process him

I'd just ask that people let me know beforehand if birds are coming - my house isn't that big and for biosecurity, I'd like to keep them away from my house quail. I'd have to clean the basement and relocate the worm farms and clutter that accumulates down there during the winter.

(and I don't mind if you bring more than one item for food - I also have a congenital need to feed people, so I know what it's like.

OOOH! I would LOVE at least one pair of Seramas, possibly two, if you're selling some!

... I think I just talked myself into cleaning the basement.. doh.
