Oh yes. I'm a Jhonen Vasquez fan from wayyy back. My entire set of Zim DVDs was part of what my evil houseguest stole. Thankfully, I have the backup copies I made before my trip to Thailand a few years ago, so I can still watch on my computer.

I went as Gaz to MiniCon and Convergence a few years ago.

Thanks, for the PM invit. but is about a 5 hour drive one-way, at this moment I cant make it, though i'd love to, to bad I haven't checked with Sunny Creek Farm for the incubator I'd like to get. then I'd have a 2 reasons to be out that way. Have fun I'll be thinking of you all:lol:

We got sucked into Invader Zim a few years ago when Nick Jr (of all places) started running the "Jolly Boots of Doom" clip at Chirstmas time in between shows. My son started singing this song, and I HAD to figure out where it came from. Once I finally saw it, we went out and got the DVDs. We've lost them in our last move, but I live in hope of opening a box one of these days and finding them.

He and I go into Hot Topic at the mall in search of Zim stuff, and the sales people always look at me like, "Lady, what are YOU doing in here?" Too funny!

I'm planning on ordering from Urch Turnlund also. Since I can't make the minimum 25 order, I will probably make a road trip down and pick a smaller number up in person. They don't have a web site, so I'll list here what they have. I picked up an order sheet at the New Ulm Poultry show. I havn't met him in person, but he answered all the stupid newbie questions I e-mailed him, so his reputation as being nice seems true. Here's what they have (any errors or typos in the following list are mine alone):

Large Fowl:
Wyandottes:white, gold laced, buff, black, silver penciled, partridge, columbian....Java: mottled, black...RIR: rose comb and single comb...Giants: white, black...Dominique...Buckeye...Rhode island white...Barred Holland...Dark Brahma...Cochin: Black, Blue, White, buff, partridge...Langshan: Black, white...Leghorns:s.c. buff, s.c. black, s.c. dark brown, r.c. white, r.c. black, s.c. silver...WFB spanish...R.C. mottled ancona...Black Australop...Polish: WCB, Bearded and non bearded Silver, Golden laced, buff laced, bearded white...Mottled Houdan...Crevecoeur...La Fleche...Sam Faverolle...Welsummers...Silver Campine...Lakenvelder...Sil Pen Hamburg...Gold Pen Hamburg..Gold Spang Hamburg...Black sumatra...Black Breast red Cubalaya...white Frizzle...Red NN...Cuckoo Marans...Sultan...Ameraucana: black and sil Duckwing.

Price is $6 for chicks, $2 eggs. Chicks are straight run. Shipping is extra. Also Special assortment bargains (they choose): 25 for $60, 50 for $90, 100 for $135

Also they have a bunch of bantams that I can list if anybody wants. Also some geese and a bunch of different Turkeys for $3 for eggs and $7 for poults. That is cheeper than most hatcherys like M- McMur!

Overall, I can't believe we have this resource right in our own state. I was looking at the recent State fair results. Their birds were winning again and again and again. And they charge barely more than hatcheries do. Actually they charge LESS for their special assortment bargains.... Then again, you can't get them sexed, but it is easy enough to get rid of roosters on craigslist if you can't face butchering them yourself.

Sppoky - My DW & I will let you know today what appetizer we are bringing.

Is there a list of who is coming? Maybe that could be added to post #1.

I would be very interested in the listing of Bantams breeds they carry. Also, I am definitely interested in getting a bunch of chicks, so maybe we could go in together? If you don't want to drive down, I can.

Cheers!

Katie

p.s. Are you going to be at the MN Chickenstock this weekend?

We also have Stromberg's. Could you post the banty list? This is indeed nifty.

So, can you make it to the meet-up this Saturday?

You're in Minneapolis, it's not that far.
