Rooster damage. Chicken saddles will protect your hens or get pinless peepers for your rooster. Of course you can get more hens.

I have six hens and one rooster. I think this one is his favorite. She looks cute in her new dress. What's a pinless peeper?

This is pinless peepers, but I think the damage on your hens feathers are done by the roosters talons/claw, so the pinless might not work.
