When do chickens molt? Is there a certain time or is it diffrent for all chickens? Also, do they stop laying eggs during that time?

When - No set time. I think some breeds are different than others.
Yes - they do typically stop laying during this time. Some chickens snap out of it pretty quick and others take forever. You can make sure they are getting a good quality feed and fresh water to help things along.

Chicken do a mini molt around 8 months old, and then a full, pillows been broken open molt at around 18 months. And they do stop laying. If one of your does a fult molt when it is cold out, break out the heat lamp - those poor things look ridiculous!!!
