The monster run my husband had envisioned being 24'x37' ended up being 24'x24' because the digging here is brutal. He came home Thursday from work and asked how I only got 5 posts in all afternoon. So I handed him the breaker bar & shovel...two holes in, he decided 24x24 was big enough!
Completed size 24x24x8. The only thing left is getting the roof wired. Once the kids came out they had a great time!

It looks great. I can understand digging. i had do dig a post hole in ground that was 75% rock, its horrible

It's freaking awful! We may get 2-3"of dirt then hit solid rock. Drag out the 40lb breaker bar. Sometimes you can break through or pry out. Other times you have no choice but to move the hole.

Kinda looks like it.....but pics of mesh can be deceiving.

The roof is actually chicken wire. We couldn't get anymore hardware cloth. I bought everyone out.
We have since put a shade cloth across the back half of the run. They use the shade of the tree in the morning. I plan on planting a few more trees across the front so everyone has shade. We leave the coop door open all day so they go in when they get warm, come out when they get nosey or want to swim lol
