Month old duckling crackling sound while breathing

:frow

Respiratory distress in birds, while its often mostly caused by too much heat, there are a lot of times where the problem is more serious so the underlying cause should really be addressed before it has the chance to progress. We don't know what sounds the duck is making, but I think its a bit premature to totally discount the problem.

:highfive:
So i know my 4-5wk old babies are having some sorts of respiratory issue brewing I have had them outside with weather being as high as 98f and 105f+ index , one is the worst every breath it takes crackles poor ducky :( … the other is barely even noticeable… I brought them inside if course and pumped them full of nutrition and gave them nutradrench…

Hey I was wondering if anyone knows why my month old ducklings making like a crackling noise sometimes when she’s breathing. I can also hear her breathing all the time which I’ve never noticed with any of my other ducks. That’s the only thing that seems wrong with her. She’s eating drinking and pooping normally and she walks and quacks fine! She was also raised in the house because her siblings and parents didn’t like her very much for some reason.
Or am I just overthinking it? ahaha
Thanks
What ever happened to your ducky? :)
