Sorry. My ducks haven't had anything like that, so I have hardly any experience with that. I'll try to help, but the closest thing I've experienced is bumblefoot on my guinea pigs. :/

Since your duck had something caught in his foot and you removed it, I think you should keep going with warm salty water and just see if the swelling goes down. Give it a little squeeze after every foot soaking and then let him rest. If you can't feel any lumps in the swollen part of his foot, he might be okay if you just keep it clean and let him rest. Try not to handle him too much, because that'll stress him out and make it harder for him to heal.
Check around for a local vet. If the swelling is there for more than two weeks, he'll definitely need to see a vet or it could get a whole lot worse.
