Sorry. My ducks haven't had anything like that, so I have hardly any experience with that. I'll try to help, but the closest thing I've experienced is bumblefoot on my guinea pigs. :/

Since your duck had something caught in his foot and you removed it, I think you should keep going with warm salty water and just see if the swelling goes down. Give it a little squeeze after every foot soaking and then let him rest. If you can't feel any lumps in the swollen part of his foot, he might be okay if you just keep it clean and let him rest. Try not to handle him too much, because that'll stress him out and make it harder for him to heal.
Check around for a local vet. If the swelling is there for more than two weeks, he'll definitely need to see a vet or it could get a whole lot worse.

Best of luck. I hope he heals up fast! :hugs

Thank you Tamingmaster, I really appreciate it, I hope he heals fast too. What's your name? It's kind of weird calling people by their usernames lol. My name is Destiny by the way :)

Glad to hear that. :hugs I hope she continues to recover.

Me too. :hugs

You're very welcome. :) If you need any more help, I don't mind trying to help out.
My name is Shannon. ^ω^ Nice to meet you Destiny. :frow

Is that what I have to do?

I'm not sure. You see, it could be infected and needs draining or it could just be swollen and needs to be left to heal. :/ The best thing I think you can do is to keep the wound clean and let him heal by himself - just make sure he is drinking and eating. If he doesn't get better, you could try to drain his foot. But, if there's no infection, you could just be poking his swollen foot and making it worse. :( So I'd just be patient and see if it heals by itself.
Always have a backup vet at the ready, just in case, they can help and provide you with any medicines you need, especially if he gets any worse.

To be honest, the swelling does look like it's going down by itself. Even if just a little. You said you removed the irritant, so I really think he'll be fine, if you keep it clean and let him rest. :)

Ok, that's what I'll do. Thank you Shannon! I put more pics on my thread, he had a family reunion with some of his siblings :)

:thumbsup Don't worry too much. You should only really worry if it gets quite a bit bigger. Keep an eye out for heavy redness too, because that's a good sign that it could be getting infected. Otherwise, I really do think he'll be alright with a little time and lots of love. ^ω^
You're welcome. :)
I saw! :love
