My dad found this baby dove this evening and we put it in our used bird cage we have outside. I gave it water and some bananas I mushed up with some water and fed it with a syringe. My dad put feed in the cage, but I think it ate it since I felt some in its crop? We don't have a heat lamp and we have to leave it outside. :( it's been really hot lately (102 F) so I don't know if it's a good thing or bad thing. It's pretty warm out at night so. ?
I really hope it survives, I hate to see birds die :(

Awwww, I hope it's alright! It sure is cute. :)

just keep it out of reach of vermin and cover it to reduce stress.. can you keep her in the garage? make sure she is not dehydrated.. very hot there so may need more water than food..
if you have pedialyte you can give it 1-4 dilution. I hope she makes it too

I'm sorry to hear that. It's horrible that people bully other because of their appearance. Don't care about what other people think, stick up for yourself and if the bullying keeps up, tell someone.

Thank you. :hugs I try to stick up for myself most of the time. I remember last December after Planet Wisdom my youth group was talking about our different hardships (depression/bulling/being suicidal/ect), so I started talking about my acne. Midway though what I was going to say I broke down and just started crying in front of my youth group, which to me is the weirdest thing because I rarely cry. Afterwards one of my leaders came up to me and thanked me and told me I was brave for telling everybody about being teased/bullied/ignored for my acne. That actually made me feel a lot better about opening up and telling people that, because I was worried about people judging me or thinking I was weak.

Heartily agreed!

:)

Nice! We have a bunch of antique farm equipment. I have an old saddle I can't figure out how much it is worth though. Can't find another like it, so that must mean it's worth a lot :lau I'm thinking it might befromcivil war era, but probably not. It's pony sized too....
Wow, that's awesome! If it's from the civil war era then it's probably worth a lot of money.
Both are beautiful! Glad you're back!
Thank you!
Old vs new. I forgot what the new ones look like...
Wow, you sure wore out your old ones!

Did you check for a nest? If there is a nest, you should put it back. It could have fledged, and be waiting for it's parents.
You shouldn't feed it bananas. It's a dove. It should be eating corn, millet and things it's parent would feed it.
Did you check for injury?
I hope it makes it and I think it was nice that you and your Dad cared enough to pick it up.
