Mountain Peeps's Chat Thread...Continued!

How many times have you hatched under a broody duck?
Fingers crossed that my Khaki goes broody this summer- it's her third laying seaspn, so....
She showed interest when she started laying for three weeks again in November, but then she gave up after one of my chickens CHASED her off her nest.... ooops. :gig

Me and Big Mama, just once when she went broody last fall. My sister and dad have hatched under broodies a lot though. This'll be the second time she's gone broody since she was hatched around the 8th of December 2015.

:fl lol.

WOW!!!!!!!!
Looks like you've got a natural setter on your han.. erm, wings. :lau

I have hen who goes broody, hatches chicks, raises them for a couple months, lays a few weeks then goes broody again. She's a great mom! Actually I have more than one like that...

I'm hoping Starlight will go broody again this spring- my mom's friend's kids already are in line for six bantams, and then my neighbor also had me write him down for some bantys......

There are those times when your hen goes broody at the absolute worst time, and then, when you need her to brood, she's like, "Sorry, outta luck, kid." :gig

Interesting! (I wish we had anoles up here)

Aww, thanks. :hugs :hugs :hugs
Awe! They're adorable! :love
I'm sorry someone called you an idiot, no one should ever do that, and you seem very far away from an idiot to me. :hugs I don't get why people tell their people there life is perfect.....they don't ever see what goes on while they're not with that person. I did feel better last night though, because it seems that the other members in my 4-H club have realized that I'm a hard worker and that I'm not immature. So I made some friends last night. As for the other new girl, she was kind of crazy and doesn't understand anything about 4-H and just wants to look good on her college applications, but I'll help her when she needs help, but otherwise just stay distant.
That so pretty! :D
A person from my old school apparently started doing drugs and selling them to people. She never was nice to me, but some of my friends our now best friends with her. I don't think they know that she does drugs, but I don't think it's my place to tell them that.

Thank you! :D
Yeah, that's a touchy situation, so I would do whatever your personal convictions tell you too. :hugs

I went to the feed store today and they were selling chicks. They had White Leghorns and Orpingtons. I told my mom that they had some and she said that we have enough chickens. I ONLY HAVE 7!!! HOW IS THAT ENOUGH????
*GASP*

Your mom must have one killer sense of self control!!!!

HOW DO YOU JUST IGNORE BABY CHICKS IF YOU HAVE ROOM FOR MORE?!?!?!?!?!?!
