Chickenfan4life... Well said!!

Rbaker0345... I agree with you. There are some magnificent species of snakes... many of which are terribly deadly, but they are no less impressive. Aside from getting in the chicken pens (which has only happened with that 1 snake), I pretty much regard 'my' NP snakes, lizards, frogs, birds, bats... as soldiers in an army to help me fight bugs, rats...

Thank you, Tropix! I love snakes...

You made a good case for your rat snake. If you do not mind him taking his tithe for his job i say bon app'etit.

We've all seen, I suppose, the images that show the tiny-ness of what is us, where you have a pic of a portion of the Universe, then it shrinks to our Galaxy, then the Solar System all the way down to good ol' Terra firma. If you stop to look at that seriously, there is majesty in every form of life there is. World in a world in a world and so on.
I'm not trying to be all gooey about it, ;D (i'm not a gooey kind of person HA!), but it's the truth.

I guess it jumped out at me when I read it the first go round. Just an odd use of the adjective - in my opinion. If someone wants to call a rat snake majestic, more power to ya.

This thread is hilarious. People at are so sensitive... :)

His tithe HA! That sucker's gonna have to give and take the tithes! You can live/live here unbothered, you just eat the rats and stay the snickelfritz outta the chickens domain! hahahhahha

hahhhahaa It's all good. It's definitely been an interesting thread to see the various points of view... some the same, but from a different angle. :D

And now for the funniest part of all... At this very moment there is a 5' racer snake coiled up outside the door to my office, complete with baby racer snakes. My God, Mother Nature is out to get me!
