Do I need to do anything beside treating her prolapse at the moment or do y'all think it's a lost cause to bother?I agree.
I'd hafta do the necropsy myself.@Cedar Creek Farm Lady If she were mine is off her myself immediately and send her for a necropsy tomorrow morning.
Don't worry...if Muddy wants we can have all these moved over to the hatch thread. I won't mind.Sorry Muddy, I muddied up your thread!

When I have one prolapse, lay lash eggs, or looks like they have an infection, I treat them pretty aggressively with antibiotics and anti-inflammatories, but mine are pets. If I were raising birds for eggs or meat I would euthanize.Do I need to do anything beside treating her prolapse at the moment or do y'all think it's a lost cause to bother?
I'll see how the hen is in the morning and cull her if she's looking worse for wear.Don't worry...if Muddy wants we can have all these moved over to the hatch thread. I won't mind.
