Muscovy egg incubation

Muscovy eggs are notoriously more difficult to hatch in an incubator. My luck with 3 attempts has been less than stellar. All of my eggs ended up shrink wrapped (my humidity was 75% as well)- I have wondered if it is the forced air incubators that are doing it and that maybe duck eggs are more susceptible to issues with it vs chicken eggs. If I ever attempt to incubate again, I am going to do a side by side incubation, one with my Brinsea Ex and one with a still air incubator and see how that works. Of course, next year I will hopefully have plenty of wanna be mamas to do all the work for me! All of mine are 12 weeks and under now.

Yeah, next time I am going to let mom do all the work. I was just hoping to get more eggs if I took theirs away. Unfortunately, they didn't lay again and are now molting, so that backfired.

Hi there! Just read your whole post because I'll be attempting to hatch Muscovy ducks in a month or two.
First of all, your neighbor is an asshole... I would have dragged them out of my house and told them never to step onto my property again.

Second, have you attempted another hatching again with Muscovys? I've been reading up on them a lot lately and it seems humidity should actually be very low for them. Would be interested to hear if you've done other attempts and tweaked your methods!
