mushy crop still

Maybe you should think about deworming her. If you can, get a fecal float test at a vet. I really would suggest massaging. It helped my chicken and my friend's chicken-they both had sour crop. The massaging would also help break up the blockage. You really do need to separate her. Make sure she doesn't have access to any food besides her feed. It really is the best thing for her. Keep me updated! Good luck!

are you sure it was sour crop not an impacted crop? just asking.. Because our Goldie back in July 2015 got an impacted crop from me giving her ,some just cut, grass while she was in the house.. She was approx 1 month inside with us ,recovering from a Terrible fly strike, on below well her butt. now her crops full and fairly firm and didn't go down overnite. fly strike was from the runny poo on her butt we didn't notice sigh awn. Her giveaway was when she roosted very early.... before her Sissies girls.
so she was treated right away and massaged and Dulcolax. Like was listed on the BYC forum
read about an Epsom Salt flush in THE Chicken Health book. Did it this morning. so she has really been drinking water.. I don't know if we should do it again. The book recommended twice a day. Her crop is very full . when I picked her up to do her with her 2nd doses of GYne- Lotrramine. she spit out clear smelly liquid. very foul smelling
So Hubby wasn't able to give her the GL 1cc dose tonight.
Hubby is really at his wits end. He is the dedicated giving of stuff to them while I hold and hug each of them
We gave all but the sick Blakey Eqimax. as a wormer right after they roosted tonight.
because one or two (of the week ago plus) RESULTS of fecal .....said occasional rd worms and tapeworms

Help yall please.. it wll be 2 weeks Sunday since I noticed her sft mushy crop etc...Her crop WAS...was a little smaller but still soft. Now its larger again. I massaged it several times today.
there feels lke no mass in the bottom of her crop BUT all over rounded and squishy. and when she poos and vomits some it stinks of course POO is 98 percent clear watery.
while we were outside she drank quite a bit of water. We ran out of the Gyne Lotrimie last nite. she passed a little solid in her poo found some newspers she had been eating too. had to keep her from picking on newspers I HAD my sw potatoes dry.ing in...
she keep standng up with her eyes closed.
i know she is starving. Im going to try to remember to call that vet office and see if he has an xray and can xray her....Will it show anything? How much longer will this go on and kill her. I cry watching her suffer and not know what to do for her.she is so gentle and pretty.

Okay. I think the best way for you to get the help you need is to make an appointment at a vet. We've all given you a wealth of advice with detailed instructions. Somehow, we haven't been clear enough for you to understand them. I offer my sincere apologies.

A vet can prescribe Nystatin, a very powerful prescription only drug to fight yeast infections. Maybe they can also help you with the crop bra so your hen won't keep having these infections.

MY heart is HEAVY....We could not get the local vet AH vet to see her. I finally called one 30 plus miles away....made an appt for euthanizing.....It was Friday..She was drinking so much water wouldn't eat her softened with water food. She got down out of her banana box and walked around still looking for stuff to peck. I asked Hubby to remind me to have us gloves up and check her for an egg....She even came and stood by Hubby chair and SHE : ha ha: when I came down the basement steps. Then while we were getting ready she hid a few time . I tried massaging her sev times she hated it that morning,,. I felt nothing hard etc in her crop jut little big and soft. I was determined to do. the extra for an Xray. She was so good on my lap during the long drive.... We took a cage but I held her and petted her all the way...
He XRAYED her crop area after a sedation in her leg. DANG ME I should have asked for an X-ray for her rest of body.... I started crying so much cause I didn't want to let that beautiful creature go. I AM CRYINg right :hitnow cause I failed her and watched her die. I should have tried harder...It was so sad she wanted so much to live. I will NEVER never forget watching her face and seeing her stick out her little tongue. It was so demeaning...
My heart is broken..still and I am not an animal lover...she was the best so loving and gentle....I didn't want her autopsyosped cause I didnt want her thrown away but to be buried where she spent her whole life since a chick,
Forgive me. . sweet SWEET Blakey I pray she is running around healthy in heaven...
I wish GOD would have taken her while I was holding her earlier so I didn't have to remember her struggling. I should have asked the vet to treat her......instead first...
Hubby won't let me keep them and take them to our other home.
He thinks he will be able to sell this place with the crew..../// No one want 3 and 4 yr olds that some don't lay even and sick off and on...and luv them like we do and let them run around being chickens....
He said he can't see euthanizing all of them down. it was too hard on us. The vet said he would do all of them for us..
I will never recommend chickens to anyone unless they like heartbreaks,,,,and understand it can be long commitment.....and frustrations...:hit

I .
