I got a batch of 4 Cayuga ducklings Wednesday and one of the ducklings doesn't seem to be eating. Thursday evening I began trying to feed the duckling a warm watery mash with a syringe but I couldn't get it to open it's beak and didn't want to force it and risk injury. I have attempted putting the feed/water on my finger and a spoon and the chick will whip its head back and forth, even almost appear like it's eating some but I'm just not sure. I have seen it drink water and poop a white liquid, I have never seen it have a solid b.m. Now it seems that the chick is getting too weak to even hold itself up to walk. If anyone has any suggestions please let me know! I will hate to lose this little sweety.
