My 9 month old choc Orpington hen has recently ....almost over nite started looking yellowish around her face, cheeks and bottoms of feet. Not sick at all..runs plays. She has stopped laying her eggs. She was laying every day or other day since October. My other 3 are still laying. Same age...no one else looks yellow. No mites etc. any ideas?

Any chance you can have a vet to run a fecal float to check for internal parasites? Or do you normally worm your flock? Wyorp Rock is amazing and extremely knowledgeable, so whatever she says, I'd trust. I just wanted to ask just in case.

Can you get some photos of the feet too?

All i see is some discoloration/color leakage on the earlobe.
I will try...been raining here(Memphis Tn) all day and nite. Will try to get a better one of her face too. It is not the tops of feet...only pads and a little between toes. Her face shows the most on her cheeks. Thanks!

Newly yellowing skin? Is the white around her eyes yellow too? Any filling or 'squishy' abdomen, like a full water balloon?
Liver issues come to mind here.
Anything she's eating that could be part of the story?
Mary

I know these pic are not good. This started literally over nite. She has had some baked sweet potatoe, scrambled eggs, and baked egg shell. The other three have also. Her eyes appear normal..no discoloring. The other three are still laying. 2 every day. One slowing. She has stopped in the last week. I read an article about going out of lay and skin changing? Nothing else different. I thought about liver too...

Eyes are normal..no squishy...i thought of liver? Feels fine. She’s eating same as other three. But, they have gotten sweet potatoe (baked no skin) and some scrambled eggs. However, I’ve done this since they were 4-5 months old...for treat. Maybe she’s had too much?

I see nothing wrong but the right side of her face, better pics of that would be good.

What is their normal feed, brand/model/protein and calcium percentages?

Would also help to know.....
