what is the easiest way to candle thru the blue eggs from araucanas?
i was given 18 eggs and i am worried about handling them so much because i have heard about all the problems with fertility, vigour, lethal genes etc... with these birds. i do have ameracanas and it seems impossible to candle their eggs.

There's a PIP in one of the Araucana eggs!!!!!!!

I just had to peel back a bunch of shell on the one my son dropped another egg on

Poor thing... she was glued in there good... no wonder she wasn't doing much. Got her head and everything loose and I covered her with a damp towel to help moisten the membrane. I think she should be ok now.

Man.... this is like the trials and tribulations hatch! Why couldn't all of this 'learning' have taken place during my TEST hatch!!

Oh well, all's well that ends well, right?
