My babies wont stop chirping!

Seems to me some points are being missed.

She said the light broke and her mom won't buy another so I understand her dilemma. An unsupportive parent. Who in my opinion sucks! After all I've been there.

Now the OP can use any kind of incandesent light bulb that will give off heat, even a white light bulb. The chicks are cold and that is why they are crying.

Unfortunately I don't see eye to eye with some parents and their attitude toward their kids and how they should be treated.

If a parent knows the kid has no means of paying for the care and treatment of an animal then they should not allow them to get them. It's the animals who suffer from such lack of common sense.

Some parents are not going to be supportive of their childrens hobbies and thereby hinder their energy. Discouraging their endeavors at personal growth and self improvement.

There is more to parenting than food , clothing and shelter.

The OP has my sympathy,

Yay Chicks! :

They don't have to be in a house. They do have to be in a warm and secured place.

True that they don't "have" to be in a house....as long as they are warm and secure and all of that. OP is not contributing much to the conversation here.....

DO you have a warm place for the babies? If not, as I said....move them somewhere that they will bother you (and your mom) less and they'll be outside before you know it.

MyRaptor....again, respectfully disagree. My chicks are warm, fed and happy. They just chirp. The end.

Chirping is one thing ...driving you crazy with their chirping and crying is another thing. My chicks normally settle down when they are warm and fed.

I agree that crying is a different thing. But like I said, my new (warm, dry, fed, played-with) babies quieted down as soon as they couldn't see us anymore. Maybe they just need to be out of the main living area.

Like I said! I had a light! But it broke. And now my mom wont get me a new one! I would NEVER hatch anything if I knew I couldnt properly care for them I would never hatch them. But I had the light.... And it broke. So just cause it broke on me doesnt mean im not properly careing for them. I didnt know it was going to brake.
