Thankyou. What do I treat her with and how do I treat her. Any advice will be gratefully receivedTreat the remaining silkie for mites, and deworm her too.
If one had it, the other probably does as well.

What do I use to clear the remaining mites if there are anySilkies are great birds and i am really sorry you're going through this. I commend you for rescuing her and trying to save her life! I agree with getting get 2 birds and the cage idea. That may be best. Before that though i would take care of the coop and ensure all the mites are gone.

Permethrin for mites. Spray or dust.Thankyou. What do I treat her with and how do I treat her. Any advice will be gratefully received
Have you tried "peepers"? They are blinders for chickens. We got them because we had an australorp that was a bully. It stopped as soon as we put them on. She wore them for a year - mainly because things were calm. When we removed them, she had already established a new place in the flock, so there was no more bullying. My girl died and I cried for a few days. I love her so much to this day... I bought two chicks and my road island has been very... Abusive so I keep them separate unless I'm there to babysit them at least until they get bigger. And it's mostly because I don't have the ability to bring my coop back into commission at this time
