My Baby Goat is Losing Hair......

I have a 3 week old baby goat who is currently being treated for coccidia. She's been on Albon medication for the past 2 days. It seems to be working so far. Today I noticed that she was missing hair above her eye. The hair on the brown stripes down her face were shedding easily. I know it's too early for copper treatment. Can I prevent the hair loss somehow?.

If it starts to get bigger your best bet is to spray the area with BluKote. Fungus infections, like ringworm, are the most common cause of hair loss and BluKote works well on fungus infections. It is also cheap. You ought to be able to find it at any livestock supply.

A good thing about BluKote is that it can't hurt. I would keep an eye on her for a few days though. If the area isn't getting any bigger you may not have to treat it at all.
