My 21 week old barred rock has been with my main flock of 5 RIR and white rocks for about two weeks now. She's the last one of the batch we purchased in the summer and my old hens have been giving me and my barred a hard time integrating her. They chase her, and I mean full sprint at her from the other side of the run, they peck and pull feathers out of her. She just can't catch a break from these bullies. Sometimes she submits to them and sometimes she runs. She's currently a bit underweight I believe ( 4 pounds and 2 oz) I've been giving her scrambled eggs the past week to try and put weight on her. She has a lot of tail feathers that were missing growing back in. Could the protein being used to grow back feathers be why she's underweight? Any ideas on what I can do so the bullies can calm down already? (also the run is large 12x24and there are multiple feeders and waterer around it)

Pull out a hen and your bullied hen so they can bond. Keep them aside for a week or 2. Then pull out another hen if need be so you have a small flock of 3.. I have heard that helps. I have 3 different flocks that have formed one big flock. I still have small fights, and I can see some hens still have their BFFs from their original flocks, but all is well.

Where are these birds living?
Pics of your coop and run would help garner suggestions for integration.
I’d try from the other side.... try and see who the biggest bully is. Isolate HER, and see if that changes things. 95% of the time for me this works far better than the other way around.
they are all equally mean lol, they all chase her:rolleyes:
