X2!!!

x3..... sorry i'm with the tough love department. i've been in a situation where the guy thought everything i did was wrong and tried to control alot of things about me, i was smart enough to eventually get out but who knows how long it would have gone on if my brother didn't express some tough love. i'm not saying you should abandon your friend! she needs you around so she doesn't end up thinking this guy is all she has (thereby, pushing her MORE toward this guy). i just think she is someone (like me

) who needs to learn things the HARD way. good luck

Savannah cats are not just your average house cat. If this cat has never been around kids, it might not go well to suddenly bring it into a house to live with some of them.

She sounds like just another spineless young American to me. Tell her to wake up, ditch the boyfriend and keep her cat. You have to realize that alot of people just make crappy decisions in life... it's that simple. Be careful you don't end up going down the drain with her.

Good luck,

Pete

well, pete, thanks for your concern, I have a drama-free life, and i keep it that way. She hasn't really changed at all in the past 15, which is kind of scary. she just called and asked if I think her BF is going to leave her over the cat situation. I told her that if he does, she'll be dodging a bullet, because if he's that kind of guy, he's not who she thinks he is. I only see her every few months, because we live such different lives, she can't stand the noise and chaos of my kids, and I can't ditch the kids to go drinking.... ever.... and I don't even want to... so mostly it's just phone contact at this point... but i still feel bad for her, because I really think everyone has someone in the world that they can fall in love with, who will treat them right, and she thinks she's found him... but I don't. they exchanged the L words after a week and a half.... which raises flags for me.

Please be careful with that cat around kids. Savannahs are a hybrid bred from wild cats and can be tempermental.

Cats do not always adjust to change very well. Some start spraying, toileting outside the box,or ripping their fur out. It is not fair to the cat to be rehomed like this,BUT I hope the cat does go to a better home(maybe not yours though since dh is coming). That guy sounds weird. Kill the cat? Ugh! How could he even say that? My dh doesn't like cats but never said he would kill ours.

It is past time for your friend to grow up. Pay $1000 for a cat, then GIVE it away because my boyfriend doesn't like it? Not in a million lifetimes. Boyfriends are cheaper then that cat, and easier to get, too.

Taking in her cat would be enabling her to continue on her crazy path to nowhere, like buying a 30 pack of beer for an alcoholic.

So far Terrie is the only one that sees what I see - he is a controlling and abusive man, and if she doesn't dump him soon, no one will see her until she is in a morgue.

Nevermind the friend stuff..

I'm interested in this Savannah cat...
