I have two BLR Wyandottes that are 29 weeks old and not an egg between them. Is this common with wyandottes...I have read that they can be slow to start laying. I've had them on Layer feed since they were 23 weeks old. Plus I have oyster shell out for them. My two silver wyandottes (same age) started laying 3 weeks ago although sporadically.
I have noticed that the BLR girls combs are still very pale pink unlike the bright red of silver girls.
Just wanted to know if this was common with BLRs. I was hoping for fresh eggs before it starts getting cold here in Virginia.
