I have three beautiful boys. I have my pure white Silkie, Billy Idol, my rock star he's almost 4. I got him when he was two. He's very nervous so I can't really do things that will make him twitch. Lol he like things quite. He's non aggressive, very much so passive.
Next I have my Dutches or Dutch Boy, I name him before we knew he was a boy. Be my Gray painted splash partridge Silkie that's 2. I've had him since he was five days old. He's very proud, not aggressive, but doesn't
Lastly, my completely momma obsessed bird. My Skylar Reign Drop. He's aggressive with my passive Roo. He's my beautiful cream Sebrite. I was the first thing he ever saw when he hatched, and he thinks momma is ONLY HIS!! He Just Turned A year last month and boy is it showing.
Now I have two chicken behaviors I am wondering about.
1. Why does my Dutch do a funny dance, I think the mating dance whenever he sees me?!? Does he think I'm A hen?
2. Why does my SMALLEST Roo keep beating up my Nervous Roo, since his sports
Spurs dropped, but leaves the other Room alone?

1. No he doesn't think you're a hen, but he does have the idea he can dominate you as if you were one. You need to discourage this behavior unless you don't care if he gets more aggressive toward you as time goes on.
2. Small breeds sometime think they are big and tough, sort of the way small breed dogs sometimes think they're big and tough. That is, until a bigger chicken or dog comes along and sets them straight.

I agree with azygous. My boys will do the wing dance with me, thinking they can be the boss of me (LOL! I have zero fear of roosters ;) ). I just shake my head and pick them up and pet them and remind them I’m bigger and stronger than them :D. It hasn’t discouraged them from doing it, but they are good boys who know Mama Chicken is in charge.
And yeah, your little guy probably has Little Boy Chicken syndrome - he has to act tough to make up for his size. Might also be extra hormones due to his age.
Good luck!
