My chicks are MIA:box found:all doa -Update: new order shipping Monday

No chicks and no phone calls......I will call Ideal today to have the shipment refunded. Maybe I will try again later, maybe not! I know this stuff happens here and there, but I would hate to have it happen to ME again. My poor SO who helps me with my chickens and building brooders and cages and carrying feed and putting them away when I can't make it home in time....we had ordered him a chicken.....he already named it and everything. figured I might as well get him a 'pet chicken' since he helps with them already......of course, his little already named pet chicken is dead in a box somewhere. Poor guy. I told him I will just hatch him a replacement out of my own eggs.......I was ordering from Ideal as I wanted lavender cochins, gold laced cochins, mottled cochins.......picking up a pair of lav cochins and mottled cockerel today. Just need to find a gold laced pair and a mottled pullet and I am good to go.

Please call Ideal again and let us know if they shipped.

If they don't show up and were shipped; someone at the post office either threw them away or took them home. Both are illegal and you could file a claim.

Weather wasn't too bad last week! It is yucky again this week. They insisted they were shipped last week when i called them. I will call them after I get home from work today to discuss and get a refund.

My distribution center is less than helpful unfortunately. I got the runaround last week when I called.....I did end up finally getting a call back from a very nice guy who checked for me and didn't find anything. My regular post office has my info...I called and talked to them twice. It's a small city, so I have no doubt if they didn't have my phone number for some reason, somebody would drive by my house to leave a note. I live less than 5 miles from the post office.

I'll update later once I have called Ideal again.
