Just wanted to share a few pics of my chicks that I got over the weekend. 2 RIR's 1 Barred Rock 2 Ameraucana's and 1 Brahma.

They're a tight bunch of peeps.

I've been calling her Big Momma (or "I"m sure she's a he") because she is so protective of the others. When I open the top of the brooder they all run behind her and she runs out and pecks at my hand.


They're all really inquisitive and are getting feathers FAST.

They're all so pretty and when they get going they sound like songbirds .

That's a bunch of big, stout chicks! Careful of the pellet bedding- they may eat it when they get older.

I was worried about that. They're already kicking up quite a dust storm with it... I definitely do not recommend the pellets.
