My cockerel is getting worse--- Help please

Is there any sound like wheezing or is he just struggling for breath? Unfortunately I think he may have a tumour if he is just constantly panting and it might be kinder to end it for him.

What color is his comb? Has it gone toward a purplish hue?

No not really, its more of a dull red with little black spots on it.

If he was mine then I think I would end it for him as that panting is obviously a major problem. If he had a respiratory infection, you would hear it. To me that panting indicates that his air exchange system is severely compromised.
I've had them come back from lameness etc but not something life threatening like struggling to breath.
It's a hard decision that only you can make but I have a feeling it needs to be taken soon or he will save you the trouble. I'm really sorry I can't offer you any more suggestions, only my sympathies. I know how heart breaking these situations are as I have been there many times. :hugs

I've dealt with leg paralysis and panting before, and I ended up putting the bird down. She lost her spark and it was time.

Hopefully your little guy makes it, although I must admit I don't see much hope for him. :hugs
