You could have a lot of fun with this.

Don't add lighter colors. It only makes the blue brighter. I thought I had gotten a darker shade of blue than what I really did and came out with this...

I'm now the little chick on the road with the French/Canadian (hillbilly joke) chicken coop.
Don't feel bad. Either just take pride in your hard work or fix it.

It's awesome! IMO adding white to the paint will make it truely a Smurf blue. Don't use white as an accent color though, you need to go with a dark color....black, brown, burgandy.....

Maybe make a false window out of contact paper? You can make false trip out of it too. Use your imagination but if you want to avoid Smurfiness...avoid white!!!!

Can you ask your friends/neighbors/family for any left over paint?
Put an ad on Craigslist asking for free, dark paint....bet someone out there has some they'd love to give you!
Heck, if you lived in the Pittsburgh area, I could give you some! hahaaa!!!

An old buddy of mine brought his vintage truck in to be painted and the color looked so great on the paint chip... But yeah, it came back smurf blue and pretty close to the color of your coop.

I'm loving the Swedish flag coop as well.

I'd ask on Freecycle for paint leftovers. Mix a bunch together and see what you get. I hear that's how Tootsies ended up being the Orchid Lounge but you also might end up with something that isn't visible from space.

Ha ha I like it. I say add white trim and call it the smurf shack! It's a coop, the chickens don't care. I painted my bee hives buttercup yellow... or so I thought... turned out more yellow than buttercup. But I'll be darned if I was going to repaint the stupid things. The bees don't care. Personally I think the blue is kinda fun. Add a fun accent color to it. OOHHH red! Or I do like the orange idea...

put some trim at the corners, around the windows and door and you'll be fine. You will be surprised how much some white trim will tone down the color. Besides, your chickens won't care what color it is, they'll be glad to call it home!
