my dog attacked my duck please help!

The poop color sounds familiar after serious injury. It would be good for her to get some probiotics soon. But I don't think it is necessarily the antibiotcs. Not sure. At this point she is probably beginning to feel the injuries, with shock wearing off.

Give her what she will eat for now. Check in with the vet as soon as you can.

I would continue gentle application of saline solution and topical antibiotic around the wound site....

So I checked her over again this morning and she's improving greatly. However, I noticed she has a blueish green poop. Like literally blue. Is that because of the penicillin? It wasn't like that before it was still normal colored. Since last night and this morning it has turned this color and the only thing that has changed is I gave her the penicillin shot last night. Also her puncture wounds are a deep red almost like a blood clot. Should I continue with the saline solution and the triple antibiotic or keep doing that? I've seen great improvement with this way but i'm not sure if I should continue to do it or not. Other than that she's doing a lot better. She's more active and very talkative which is good. I've also found out that she likes to listen to Miley Cyrus while in her bath lol. She likes any music really but she starts to swim and preen and eat her mealworms whenever a miley cyrus song comes on. I'm really worried about her appetite too. She normally doesn't eat much as it is but she has barely touched her food and the only thing she really eats is her mealworms which isn't totally bad as they are 53% protein but I'm worried about her eating. She drinks really well and I have to refill her bowl twice a day. Once in the morning and once during the middle of the day/evening.
The color of her poop could be both she isn't eating much and the pen. I'm not sure about this wound your talking about that you think could be a blood clot, when she bath does it wash out and come back after she is out of the water? Maybe try this half cup of her feed with about 1 teas of ACV and warm water mixed in till it's moist then sprinkle some mealworms on top not a lot but just enough to get her started back on her feed if she eats that then try the next time mixing the mealworms into a bit of feed with acv and warm water. . start out small so your not wasting feed.

I've got probiotics in her water right now. Is there anything I can give her for pain? Tylenol or anything like that? I've felt so bad for her she's been quacking at the ducks through the open window in my bedroom so I broke down and got out the puppy pen and set it up outside. There are no bugs out today so I figured it'd be a good day to do it. I brought her out fresh water and her food bowl and put her carrier in there too. She was really happy to see her flock mates. The geese wouldn't leave her alone so I penned them up and the ducks were over by there quacking at her and stuff and she has started eating. She's foraging through her little pen and acting like the perfect lil ducky. She seems so happy. I think I'm going to try to give her some outside time every day if I can. As long as she isn't too stressed when I bring her inside in a lil bit. Is this ok to do? I make sure there isn't anything poop in the pen area and i'm not going to give her the pool to play in. For now it will be tub only baths. Miss Lydia It doesn't wash away. I'm not sure if it's a blood clot or not it just looks like that's what it is. It's really hard to get pics because of how much she moves around and tries to bite.

It may just be the beginnings of healing. I think there is something called granulation that occurs.

Sounds like you are doing well - be really cautious about flies. Really.

Yes flies are bad here and I don't want to be picking out maggots or anything like that so I made sure they were no flies. But with it being so cold they are probably flying south for the winter like the geese. Jk I'm not sure what flies do during winter.

So you may be seeing normal progression.  How does the edge of the wound look?  Pink?  Gray?

A mix of both. Right next to the wounds are pinkish and then it fades to gray the farther from the wounds.

The pinkish is encouraging. I wonder if the gray is just her skin color . . . perhaps you can compare to other parts. I know this may not be easily possible since she's so bitey. I keep coming up against the limits of my knowledge, here. Any time someone with more wound experience wants to chime it, they are welcome to do so!

There would be a helpful mini-dictionary - photographic progression from initial wound through the healing process.

Then there is the internet and wikipedia
