my dog attacked my duck please help!

How do you make sure they don't spray when you go to pick up the trap?

You took the words out of my mouth... uhm, more precisely, off the tips of my fingers.

Lol.. well I saw on a TV show where they threw a blanket or something over it so that it wouldn't spray but idk how well that'd work lol

Morning update.. Her wounds are looking better and better each day and it seems her feathers are starting to grow back in. Not so much on her back under her wings just yet but around her other wound near her tail. Her eyes have also cleared up all the way, I must of caught it early enough. And she ate about half a bowl of food last night. I have her back outside again today and will keep close eye on her more today because it's supposed to get up to 80 degree's, probably the last time too, so flies might be an issue today. I feel bad for her though because she's going to have to at least stay inside at night once her wounds heal until her feathers grow back since it's getting down to the 40s every night, sometimes colder than that and I don't want her to catch a cold? (is that even possible?) or get too chilly without having her feathers. Her poop seems to be going back to normal which is good still a little blueish green though. I'm going to try her with some fruit today and see if I can't sneak some yogurt into her. None of my ducks or geese are big on it and wont eat things if they figure out it's in there. I just figure yogurt would be good to try to get into her right now. My mom brought me some fresh raspberries and apples so I'll try some of that and see what happens. I'm sure she will at least try it because she's outside and always eats well outside. It's just getting the yogurt past her that will be the problem. But I will let you guys know how that goes when I give my update later. I'm super excited though I actually get to sleep at home tonight and be able to talk to her until I fall asleep. I've been gone for the last 3 nights doing sleep shifts at work so it will be nice to be at home tonight :)

Good deal. Just word of caution, I would not advise you to feed your duck the apple seeds... Cyanide.
Great news, you are a wonderful Duck Nurse ;)

No worries there I never cut up the core. I don't eat it so why would I give it to my ducks lol I know some people do but idk to me it's just something thats forbidden. Just like not eating the bottom end of a banana, not sure why I don't all I know is that it's like forbidden lol Thank you I am trying to be the best duck nurse I can
