My dog treed a raccoon this afternoon!

Be careful- raccoons & other animals out during the day are usually sick. (Got this info from my animal control agent re: daytime racoon & possum sightings)

Raccoons love rainy and wet nights and will often stay out a little longer.

I was a bit worried about its health and didn't let Cleo sniff closely. This happened early afternoon in heavy rain/near sleet conditions. Only fools, mad dogs and Englishmen go out in that kind of weather! We were all soaked by the time the deed was done.
