My Duck Hut/Pond finally done *UPDATED INSIDE HUT PICS* Not done Pg 1*

So, now that you have had your pond operational for awhile, is there anything you would have done differently?

I still don't have mine built yet, DH has brought home some Pekin ducks, and he has decided on getting call ducks to raise.
(I've been telling him for 4 years that I really like the call ducks) Sometimes he just has to come to it on his own!!!

Anyway, since it is now his decision to get them, I can get the pen and pond built the way I want...

I want a workable pond, so I don't have such a hard time keeping the water clean. I will just have to convince him that his ducks don't need to be in the same pen with my ducks!

I love getting new ideas for buildings. I have 5.
The Chicken Condo, sunroom, guesthouse, Chick Chalet, Hen's Hut...

Next one will be incubator room, and hatching station.
And place for mine to hang for a few weeks.

Great duck place love it!

so far so good... Nothin Id change... it drains in less than 5 min... I rinse (ocational bleach and scrub) fill back up, which does take about 15 ish min....just hope I can keep it thru the winter..... researching now on pond heaters and such to see what to do...i do drain every other day in the summer...my water bill was $30 more a month for a 270 gal pond......good luck...

Oh my goodness! Your Duck Mansion is lovely and creative!! I love it!! Especially how the pond is drained! How simple! I don't have ducks...yet... but when I do I will definatley be taking tips from this thread!

Great ! That is just what I wanted to hear!

Now I need to decide where I want the ducks at. This one won't be able to be moved like all the other pens we are building at moment (hoop houses).
This will be permanent, so I need to really do some planning.

I think it's what estate agents in England would call 'a superior home, finished to the highest standards'! Excellent!
