My eggs are here!!!

Sometimes, you can feel the chick moving when you pick up an egg, sometimes you can hear it moving by holding the egg to your ear in a quiet room.
The first few days or 5, all you can see is that big vein, and it kinda looks like a blood ring sometimes.
It can drive ya crazy, thats why its best to wait at least a week or so, so you can see a definate embryo jumping around.
But, they soon get too big and all you see is dark and maybe a little movement.

chicka, you make me wanna go do some candling . . . .
Pretty easy to see into?

Anyways, we got good eggs from a good source I think, and he says to expect at least an 85% hatch, so it sounds like you are right on track with your 10!
I have what, 50 in my bator, Ill be perfectly content with 42 birds

The chuckar are so much easier to see through than the quail, I could make out the yolk! Can't wait to see more developement with those, I couldn't make out much with my quail. But I'll do a float test towards the end of the hatch to see if some just need a little more time.

I'm going into lockdown this Saturday for my quail!

I counted days wrong! Tonight is lockdown!!!! I don't have stuff ready, I thought I had all day tomorrow to get it set up, but now I have to wing it!!! Hopefully nothing will happen until tomorrow and I'll have time to bleach out the brooder and get some feed! If not, can organic grower hold them over for an hour or two?

Lol, calm down, take a deep breath, everythings gonna be fine . . .

Get your brooder ready, you got 3 days!

The food you have will be fine if needed, my chickies didnt even eat or drink the first day.
Make sure you sift or grind to get small enuff pieces, I sift myself.

That bator sure looks good!
I also locked my coturnix and a few chickens eggs down today for a monday/tuesday hatch!

Have fun Chicka!
If you need any supplies, lemme know. I got all kindsa stuff over here.

As I have some in lock down too, can I ask a question? I just realized that the bag of game bird feed I bought is actually layer and broiler feed

Hubby set it down against the wall, lable hidden. Can I grind up some dry cat food and mix it in to give to my hatchlings? If they hatch that is
