If memory serves me correct The mom is 1/2 BCM and 1/2 amaracauna:-) I saw those eggs being auctioned in Spring and called the women selling chicks-I drove 7 hours round trip to pick up one of those birds that laid those olive eggs! I had to have one it was well worth thr trip because by summer I will have around 10 of those birds:-)

I have a BCM roo covering my 4 blue eggs laying EEs now. I am hoping their offspring will be laying nice dark olive eggs for my egg basket. I have a NN that lays pink eggs dotted with white. I hatched two of her chicks in my last hatch. One is a red and one is red with blonde highlights! I LOVE NN CHICKS! They are so dang cute.

I've got Olive-eggers in the bator too .. and some EE's and marans .. so I think I'm going to have some pretty colored eggs hopefully by fall! Yipeeee.

Re: Pink eggs. I have a pair of Salmon Faverolles .. and I think their eggs are fleshy, pale tan, pinkish colored. So I wonder if I crossed them with Ameraucana?? Oh well, I'll have to look into it.

BTW: to the OP.. congrats on the lively baby .. I've got a week before I candle..

Thanks, Texasgal! I have a chicken who's laying that pink/tan egg, too. But I don't know who. And I don't have any breeds that should I don't think. But they could have something mixed up in them. They came from the feed store and TSC so I'm sure they are all hatchery babies.

OH LORD! 37 eggs in bator..DH is gunna flip. He has no idea how many is in there! LOL...

Oh, I didn't throw out "oozer" yet. I think it's no good, but I just can't do it. Gonna wait another day and check again. Then I'll make a decision if it doesn't stink then. But if it lives, I'm gonna call it Oozer.
