My Exotic and Migratory Ducks [Destinduck] (Photos)

Hi, Your ducks look amazingly great despite the fact they don't have any grass to eat or a natural pond in the ground! Also if left with their parents they teach them all they ever need to know that a human can't!

no problem toejam. Thanks Carol. There is no grass in the pens but tons on the outside that we give them

Plus I dump the water about every 3 days on 12 kiddie pools of various sizes But the concrete ponds they be a coming. At least in the biggest pen anyhow. Im over 50 and Im not a "spring chicken" anymore. I use a sump pump mostly to save my back. The only time I leave them in the pen with the parents are mandies and mallards ( I usually have so many I hate to say it I sorta let the chips fall where they may)

I am going to have a happy Easter. I love my new Magellan geese. They are so friendly and the sounds they make Whoo!!! They are nice even to the littliest teal. I had to get out the little manderins and mallards out of the big pen because one of the female red goldens grabbed one and slung it 8 feet in the air and as soon as it hit she grabbed him and twirled her head and did the WWF smackdown on him. I cant believe it didnt stun him at least. I guess all that down on em. Needless to say got em all out and in the new big brooder. Whew.

Wow... How cool is that, the newspaper doing an article on you & your duckies/birdies }}}All your feathered friends

I'd like to see the "Destin Log" when it comes out, that should be nice & full of information. ~That should really help on getting the word out about the beautiful birds you have to offer right? Omg, that's too funny slung em 8 feet. lmao Poor duck. ~Julie~

Yea Donna most pheasants dont like anything mouse like. Must be their in their instinct. Baby red goldens are hatching as I write. I hear em just a peepin. Havent seen my magellans" do it" yet but they talk to each other more frequently. It would be nice if they layed this year but I dont care I just love them.

That is good to know.. I just got some Red Goldens and put them in my avairy and will now watch them when we have babies hatch if I don't get to them before they hatch!
My Golden's are not laying yet but the Male is courting them.. I seriously thought I had a snake in my pen the other day and I was standing on top of it. I have been meaning to take my video camera in there and get that court ritual.. I got osme good pictures of him though... I should have baby Mandarins/Wood Ducks this week!!! I can;t wait.. can't remember for sure when she started setting.. I know when she starting laying but... it is going to be interesting catching the little ones
